BJP organizes party workers convention in Kashmir ‘Anti- national and anti-coalition elements want to disturb the peace in the state’ KG News Desk Srinagar, Oct 18: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized party workers convention on Tuesday here in which all the senior members- including state office bearers, district presidents, constituency presidents and other members were president and discussed the prevailing situation in Kashmir. The senior party members of the party appreciated the party workers for remaining steadfast during the present crisis in Kashmir. The party leaders expressed grief over the loss of lives of both security forces and civilians in the ongoing unrest. BJP state president, Sat Sharma on the occasion said that central was always ready to mitigate the suffering of people of state and for that central government was always ready to help the common people, but there are certain elements which don’t want to give peace a chance. “BJP is a cadre based party with more than 10 lakh trained workers and all of them are ready to participate in the development of state,” he said, adding, there are anti- national and anti-coalition elements in the state, who don’t wish to see the development in the state. Sharma also said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, country’s development model was appreciated by world leaders and to implement the same here. Sharma asked the people to extend their support to the party to ensure state’s development at par with that of the country. Ashok Kaul, state general secretary (Org) appreciated the government for exhibiting maximum restraint during the prevailing situation. He asked the party workers to resume the party activities to ensure the welfare of people and development of state. “Anti- coalition parties don’t want to see peace and prosperity in the state in our coalition government and are hell-bent to disturb the peaceful atmosphere here by indulging in provocation and other anti-national activities,” he said. Sofi Yousuf, BJP MLC from Kashmir also spoke on the occasion and ensured the party workers that they have full support from party. “The party is always behind you (BJP workers) and its leadership is ready to listen to the genuine issues,” he said, adding, party people should work with enthusiasm and dedication for strengthening it at gross level. The senior leaders also listen to the issues and grievances of its workers and ensure full support to them.
